3rd Street and Deinhard Lane: Intersection Improvements

Redesign southbound turn lane

A separate project studying stand-alone improvement for this intersection
determined the right turn radius is not optimal for extra-large freight trucks
(class WB-67), like some mining vehicles.

The recommendation for an intersection reconfiguration including a
free-running right with an acceleration lane from southbound Deinhard Ln. onto 3rd St./SH-55 will be considered as a concept in this project.

Potential Benefits

New turn radius accommodates larger freight and mining vehicles
A continuous free-running turn allows for faster travel times and mobility

Will require coordination with the McCall Airport
