Preferred Preliminary Design

A potential SH-55 corridor exchange would redirect some traffic from downtown McCall to the proposed SH-55 around  the downtown core. To better accommodate the new traffic patterns, intersection and road upgrades were developed and evaluated.

Preferred preliminary design overview table with key design features identified per location. 3rd & Lake St - Collection of widening options including the addition of bike lanes, sidewalks, parallel parking, & center turn lanes. 3rd St & Deinhard Ln Intersection - Improve mobility at the north & west legs of the intersection by adding the following: 1) Designated southbound right-turn lane for larger vehicles; 2) Designated eastbound left-turn lane; 3) Free-running westbound right-turn lane. Improve bicycle & pedestrian facilities on the northwest & southwest corners. Deinhard Ln & Boydstun St - Resurface roadway & construct a new multi-use pathway from West Valley Rd to the existing pathway west of the bridge & to the future McCall Greenway & Walking Path. Boydstun St & Lake St Intersection - Add traffic signal & additional lanes to the existing T-intersection for safety & mobility: 1) Free-flowing westbound movement; 2) Designated eastbound right-turn lane; 3) Designated westbound
